Conference venue
The ICOHTEC Symposium will be held at the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. Founded in 1948, the university is medium sized and comprehensive, with over 20 000 of students and 18 faculties in technical and humanistic domains.
All communication sessions, coffee and lunch breaks will take place in the Aula Library of the Transilvania University, situated at five minutes walking distance from the historical center.
How to get to Brasov, ICOHTEC 2014 venue
Travel by plane
The main airport is Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport, situated at 16.5 km distance from Bucharest down-town, and approx. 160 km from Brasov.
Henri Coanda Express trains provide connection between Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport and Bucharest North Railway Station. Regular trains connect Bucharest North Railway Station to Brasov Railway Station.
Access roads: The National Road DN_1, connecting Bucharest to Transylvania, via Brasov. The distance between Bucharest and Brasov is 171 km.
We shall provide transfer by bus to Brasov. All guests coming on 28-th of July, between 9.00 to 18.00 hours will be picked up from Bucharest International Airport Henri Coanda. As well, all guests departing on 3-th of August, between 9.00 to 18.00 hours, will be taken to the Bucharest International Airport Henri Coanda. There is a direct venue by car via Budapest. On the route, the beautiful city Sibiu (European Capital in 2007) could be visited.
